Hartzel Automotive has been providing excellent imported
automotive service and repair on the central coast
of California for 20 years. Over the last few years,
Hartzel Automotive has expanded it’s business
into auto racing. This has allowed owner Barry Hartzel
to return to his roots. Racing since age 14, Barry
has a passion for motorsports and his talent, experience,
and determination have lead him to numerous racing
wins and championships.

The
Challenge
Moving beyond
it’s base of import
service and repair, Hartzel Automotive is now able
to deliver racing products and services to a national
audience. To facilitate this new business Hartzel
Automotive needed a way to reach new customers
and spread the word about their superior expertise
with Spec Miata racing.
Well known and respected in the California racing
community, Hartzel needed to build on that brand
and extend it nationally. Whenever anyone thinks
about Spec Miata racing, Hartzel should be the first
word that pops into their head.
The
Solution
Building on the advertising design that we provide
for Hartzel Automotive we built a website that
provides a wealth of information to prospective
customers and also serves as a hub of information
for Spec Miata enthusiasts. To assure the success
of the website in achieving it’s goals the
site was built with Imulus’ XML based site
editing system to allow Hartzel Automotive to update
site information and keep the site fresh and current.
In addition we also designed the site with a focus
on search engine optimization. This will assure
that the site achieves it’s goal of reaching
a national audience and extending the Hartzel brand.
In phase two of the project Imulus will implement
a custom e-commerce solution that will allow Hartzel
Automotive to sell it’s unique Spec Miata parts
and kits online.
